The first piece done for the collection, Feathered Choice, was made with strategic layers. A mixed medium piece done in pencil, soft chalk pastel, charcoal, prismacolor, ink and a few more unexpected twists. A fine shimmered pigment is layered on top and adds a rich glimmer when viewed from different angles. The pièce de résistance? A curious brow covered and glazed in ethically sourced feathers, drawing attention to the subject’s gaze.
